When the Philadelphia Flyers were looking to develop a new American Hockey League team, MANTIKI Creative had the unique opportunity to develop a strong brand identity. We thought it would be a great idea to connect the teams visually, by incorporating the Flyers’ “wings” into a Phantom goalie-like mask design for the logo build.
We then rolled the identity out for a core set of assets, such as home and away jersey designs, a mascot, and home ice floor creative, through to merchandising assets such as shirts and bobbleheads.
Although they eventually became the LEHIGH VALLEY PHANTOMS after winning the Calder Cup, the core branding has been used by the USA Hockey Tier II ice hockey team, DELCO PHANTOMS.
