For Brown Girl Gifts (BGG), the mission was simple, create a fashion and lifestyle brand that inspires and celebrates women of all colors to simply be themselves. The brand’s identity was designed to envoke the spirit of an optimistic and opportunistic little girl who dares to believe that anything is possible.

By utilizing positive, uplifting phrases and universal appealing silhouette imagery, the brand strives to reinforce the philosophy that there is no one human ideal. With our world growing ever more culturally diverse, BGG believes we have been given a remarkable opportunity to reframe brownness for our little girls as a connection that transcends ethnicity or nationality.

Although not initially planned, the final logo inspired the design and development of an entire lifestyle and fashion merchandise line, including clothing, bags, hats, mugs, pillows, media cases, and bedding. Services included creating both marketing and e-commerce sites and social media content development.
